In fact, stone wet paste must "drink water" for the stone, so that the water in the cement slurry will not be absorbed by the stone instantly to create a cavity, and the floating dust will not affect the overall laying, resulting in a reduction in the overall bonding effect. And this is the most important factor influencing the hollowing of stone.

Therefore, before the flamed granite floors is laid and used, it needs to be soaked in water and wipe the back of the granite stone with a damp cloth. After it is dried, it can be used normally. It should be noted that the specific methods of water immersion treatment are different for different stone slabs. For example, the water immersion treatment of light-colored and white marble must not only wipe off the dust on the back, but also brush the alkali-proof primer. In this way, ordinary cement mortar can be prevented from penetrating into the white marble and affecting the color and pattern effect.

Reasonably control water volume

Generally speaking, water, sand, cement and other materials are used for decorative stone paste. Once the amount of cement and water used differ greatly, it may affect the density of cement mortar. In addition, if the sand is too fine and the specific surface area is large, it will increase the cementitious material and the water consumption alone, which will reduce the strength of the mortar, increase the shrinkage rate, and easily produce shrinkage cracks or unevenness, which will cause the granite surface layer to bond with each other. Cracks are generated between the layers. These problems may lead to the occurrence of hollow granite stone in the future use. In addition, due to the influence of the natural environment, the moisture in the mortar will evaporate, which will affect the bonding strength to a certain extent, making the board weak and hollow. Therefore, in the actual operation process, reasonable water control is very important.

In this regard, operators need to control the water volume in strict accordance with the required lime-sand ratio during the mixing of cement mortar in accordance with the requirements of relevant construction standards. For dry hard cement mortar, the ratio of lime to sand should be controlled within the range of 1:2~1:3. After mixing, test the humidity by hand. It can be kneaded into a mass by hand, and it will spread out on the ground, which can meet the requirements of plate laying.
